UPDATE 2
Ok, here’s the deal. Since I’ve got e-mails from people suggesting that my poster was created and is being sold only for my benefit, to gain some recognition I’ve decided to remove it from the store. I’ve also already returned money to the handful of souls who bought it in good faith. I thank those people for the trust and understanding. I know that at least 3 of them decided to buy James White’s poster instead (good choice).
The poster will be used as a sign of my support for Japan and to raise awareness and you can still use the links I provide at the bottom of this post to donate money directly to Red Cross.
I will not however have people thinking I’m a dishonest as****e.
UPDATE
The poster you see above will be available from my store soon. All profits from sales will be donated to help relief efforts in Japan.
At 14:46 of local time Japan has been hit by a massive earthquake and tsunami. The damage is devastating and there are many causalities.
Any help is appreciated.
Here are some links were you can make donations to help Japan.

Really nice poster – shame about the criticism you’ve received.
Keep it in the store and i’m sure it’ll gain donations for the people who need it.

Hey man — there’s a Japan relief tee challenge on Threadless going on now. This design would make a great submission. http://causes.threadless.com/japanrelief

My apologies about holding the comments “hostage” for a while. My fault as it was caused by my WorpPress settings.
Hi I will post on my profile page on FB. Sorry ppl misunderstood…. I guess they think artists can afford to make hundreds of posters for free. I think it is okay to say all profits go to Japan, it is my expectation that costs of production would be covered. Thanks for your efforts. JJ
ps what I meant was that I would put a photo of the image on my FB page…. cheers, JJ

I think that your effort makes a great difference – go ahead with your project – ignore negative comments, it’s always easy to critizise – poster is lovely and all help matters
Awesome effort. I have used this art in an article about the Japan Quake.. I have provided the link there.
Regards.
Hey guys,
Just wanted to thank you for the support.
Seems that in the last days I’ve received two positive responses for every negative one :)
